Prayer Meetings

The power of prayer is phenomenal. It should be - we're asking God, the creator of the universe, for help and when He answers it can be pretty amazing.

We hold prayer meetings in the Pentecost Room every Wednesday evening at 7.30pm. The meetings last about half an hour and are very informal. Of course you don't need to be in a group to talk to God, but sometimes it helps for concentration.

We sing a few songs and talk for a little while about the things that we're going to pray about. Quite often other people will ask us to pray for them, or for people they know, so we mention their names so the whole group can pray for them. The rest of the time we spend praying either silently or out loud for those things, asking for God's healing and intervention.

If you'd like to join us just come along on Wednesday. Everyone is very welcome, and there's never any pressure to pray out loud. If you'd like more details you can get in touch with the Rector by email or by phone (02890 832 726).

How to receive prayer

If you or someone you know would like us to pray for you, you can ask the Rector or fill out this confidential form.

Praying at home

There's a million and one things we can pray about but sometimes we have trouble focusing. Why not print a copy of our prayer list and use it during your prayers?
